Introduction

Group Package 1 websites contain a mix of default verbiage and imagery, with your group's details. This is managed for you by Scouts Online. There is no ability change the settings.

If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

Group Package 2 websites don't include the ability to add team lists with neckerchiefs added to the default member profile images.

If you'd like to upgrade to a Package 3, please contact us.

This page allows you to configure a Neckerchief Colours string to use on your website.

In the Team List modules that are shown in various places across your website, default profile images are displayed with coloured neckerchiefs. You can see this on your About/Meet The Team page and the team lists on your various Members pages.

To set this up, build the Configuration String using the tool below, open up the Admin/Section Details page on your website and select 'Group' section. Paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.

This page allows you to configure a Neckerchief Colours string to use on your website.

Group neckerchief images can be shown at the top of each Group's details page (linked from the Groups page). Group neckerchief images can also be displayed in a groups list panel at the bottom of your home page and on the groups' details pages.

Group neckerchief images can be shown at the top of each Group's details page (linked from the Groups page). The group details page can also be configured to show a Team List, with neckerchiefs shown on the default profile images for each Group team member.

Group neckerchief images can also be displayed in a groups list panel at the bottom of your home page and on the groups' details pages.

If your DistrictCounty or District also has it's own neckerchief colours, the coloured neckerchief can be shown in Team List modules across the various Meet The Team and members pages.

Configure Neckerchief Colours

This tool builds the Configuration String to paste into the Neckerchief Colours fields in your website. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Enter colour names or precise hexadecimal colour codes into each colour field required.
    For a list of valid colour names (E.g. red, blue, etc.), see here.
    To setup a hexadecimal colour codes (E.g. #ff0000, #00ff00, #0000ff. etc.), see here.
  • Click the Update Configuration button to view the results
  • To edit an existing configuration string, paste it into the Configuration String field and click Update Fields From Configuration String before editing the fields
  • Once you're happy with the neckerchief design, paste the Configuration String into the appropriate Neckerchief Colours field on your website

Add Colours to Your Website

To set this up, build the Configuration String using the tool above, open the Admin/Section Details page and Amend the 'Group' section. Paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.

To add your District'sCounty's neckerchief colour scheme to your website, build the Configuration String using this tool above, open the Admin/Global Settings page, paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.

To set neckerchief colour scheme for each of your Districts, build the Configuration String using this tool above, open the Admin/District Settings page, Amend the District, paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.

To set neckerchief colour schemes for each of your groups, open the Admin/Group Details page, Amend the appropriate group, move to the 'Sections' tab and Amend the 'Group' section. Paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.

To set neckerchief colour schemes for the groups in your Districts, open the Admin/District Settings page, Amend a District and move to the 'Groups' tab. Amend the appropriate group, move to the 'Sections' tab and Amend the 'Group' section. Paste the Configuration String into the Neckerchief Colours field and click Save Changes.
