Image Banner Module Documentation

Introduction

Group Package 1 websites contain a mix of default verbiage and imagery, with your group's details. This is managed for you by Scouts Online. There is no ability change the settings.

If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

The Image Banner module may be used to show a slide show of images or a single image.

The Image Banners on the home page and sectional home pages may also promote selected news stories and events.

To edit a module, follow these steps:

Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
The Style field controls the appearance of images inside the image banner:
- Default Aspect: Displays the images without zooming in
- Full Width: Zooms in to each image so that it covers the full width of the module
- Full Width Parallax: Sticks each image to the page, so that it doesn't move when scrolling the browser up and down the page
To limit the height of the images, set the Height field to the number of pixels
Tick the Random Order field so that images appear in a different order whenever the page is displayed
Set the Animation Fields as required
Set the Images list:
- The Image URL fields may be the Full Page or Virtual Path of an image, shown in the 'Header Details' tab of an image in the Admin/File Manager
- You may add a Hyper Link to each image so that a website/page is opened when the website visitor clicks on it. This can start with a ~/ to donate a page on your website.
- The display of an image can be limited to the sections you have. This is set in the Section Type field.
Images may be moved up or down the list using the and buttons.

To remove an image, simply remove the Image URL.
